FCC North Texas Proudly Presents
Adoption and Schools
Presented by Deanne Brown and Becky Harding
Please join FCC North Texas in welcoming Deanne Brown and Becky Harding on Sunday, September 12 from 2 - 4 pm for a seminar and discussion on helping your adopted child successfully navigate the educational system. Their presentation will include: finding the best school match for your family, communicating effectively with your child's teacher, teaching your child strategies for handling questions and situations about adoption and race, and learning ways parents can be effective advocates in their school and community.
Topics include:
- Identifying what the ideal school environment should look and feel like to both parents and students
- Learning how to build a relationship with your child's teacher

- Finding out how to be a positive advocate
for social change
